Here is the Crows with Circle Number 2 carving, all painted, all DONE! I have added the gold leaf to the inner frame, and a bit more white to the crows and background.
This carving expresses a new theme that is coming out in my art - that of people vs nature. I think a lot about the earth, and how our use of resources is unsustainable. The guy represents people. People throw up their hands, don't know what to do even if they have good intentions. The crows surround the guy and represent nature - nature pecks at us giving us hints we should do something. As we ignore nature longer and time goes on - the pecks get less friendly.
