I've been away from the computer all summer, spending all the time I can out in the air and sun, sailing on the lake, gardening, soaking up the open air energy.
As I write it is raining in Ithaca, nothing better to do than to sit down at my computer and start my blogs once again.
While I will still be at the Ithaca Farmer's Market for a month or two more (temperature dependant, my hands don't like to carve in the cold), I'm moving back into using my winter studio, taking commissions as I usually do as the dark time of the year comes upon us.
Last year at around this time I was approached by email to do a commission of a summer family house in Glenora, on Seneca Lake. Here is one of the photos I was sent, an out of focus picture of the family cottage that was taken in the 1960s.
These out-of-focus, blurry images are the most challenging ones for commissions. I just got something similar for a new commission I'll be starting in a week or so.
