"Smile and Don't Expect So Much" is a series that I've been working on over a number of years. This is the eighth picture I've done on the theme, each one a little bit different! I started doing these pictures because one time, when I was complaining to my mother, she said "just smile and don't expect so much". I try to take her good advice, but these pictures are meant to humorously show how I feel internally as I sometimes have to force myself smile.
